The Struggles of Finding A Halloween Costume

Usually no matter what age you are you have some sort of event you wear a costume to on Halloween. I, maybe unlike a lot of people, begin to plan my costume in about February. I get this great idea of something I want to dress as, and think that I will keep that promise to myself.

This year I planned on going as Thor.

By the middle of the year I have changed my mind completely. I became obsessed with The Walking Dead, and wanted to be a Walker with full makeup and bite marks and whatever.

So for the rest of the time to about the beginning of September I planned on making my Walker costume. When I went to the Halloween store and saw how much the parts I needed for my costume cost, I thought, "Maybe I should be someone else. I have a blonde wig. I could go as Andrea." So I thought my costume was finished, but then I thought, "What if no one knows who I am supposed to be."

So I ordered a wig that looks like Maggie's hair. I thought maybe more people would recognize who I was dressed as. After I got the wig I changed my mind and wanted to be Daryl. My hair is short and brown, so I thought that I wouldn't need a wig after all. Then I realized that sadly I don't have a crossbow, or a poncho, or a vest with wings. My plans were ruined. I looked at the calendar the next day and saw that Halloween was in five days. I wouldn't have time to get the things I needed! (Shirt that I can rip the sleeves off of and can put blood splatters on, dye to re-dye my hair, pants I can get dirty, etc.) I panicked.

I then got a great idea while playing The Sims. I could be a Sim. It's so simple. All I have to do is make the Plumbob (Diamond above their head) and put it on a headband. So with now only two days left I have started to make it.

It's funny how as you get older deciding what you want to dress as gets harder to do. As a kid it's like, "What do you want to be?"
"I want to be a fairy!" or "A dinosaur!" or whatever. Now it's like, "Well it can be funny, or serious, or realistic, or fake, or based on a movie, or real life. Will I have time? Will I have money? I always get my great ideas for a costume the day of or the day after Halloween. It's like, "Oh. I will do that next year." Then the whole process starts over...

Sorry for the late upload. I got busy. I will try harder next time. Happy Halloween. Don't choke on candy. That's bad.
